Women Empowerment Project (WEP)

The WEP has the focus of empowering women on all fronts in order to be able to provide more support to their families especially, the children. It includes programmes aimed at giving them alternatives to gain extra incomes for their families, basic li acquisition, and development of skills for the form and accompaniment of their children, especially girl-child, without neglecting the boy-child.
So far, the economic empowerment activities have be started with the production of local soap. The women in their own time meet to prepare local soap, they sell the soap, give back the capital and keep the profit. Other economic activities are being explored as we hope to expand the scope of the project.
